It is not certain who built the first dwelling in the hollow or when. The foundation of the farmhouses’ central dining room, with fireplace and bedroom above, suggest a late 18th century structure.
A two-story, three room clapboard house was built in the 1850's. Later a shed kitchen was added.
In the 1940's two side rooms for bedrooms were added and the entire house was bricked over.
Several more renovations and additions have been added since 1984. Accommodations offer: three bedrooms with private baths, one with a fireplace and whirlpool.
