Raised in Montreal, and new to country life, Beverley, in 1950, as a young bride quickly adapted to the surprises and challenges a small farm demands . Sleepy Hollow became home to her five children, a small black Angus herd and two milking cows; Grace & Pride. As homemaker, and active in the church and community she exemplified the meaning of leader and hostess.
Later her profession as Journalist and Photographer, and continued love for people and children, Bev's journey into the mission field began.
Now , Executive Director of Our Little Roses Foreign Mission Society in San Pedro
Sula, Honduras, Beverley along with 2 secretaries, operates the United States based
office located behind the main house. This ministry supports abused and abandoned
girls.

Little did he know when he said " I do" to Dorsey that he was being positioned for a valuable part of the maintenance of Sleepy Hollow!
Whether structural, electrical, or plumbing repair Don is always helpful. He also maintains the lawns and feeds and chases the cattle.
This son-in-law is valuable beyond all understanding.
Many a time he has welcomed and settled guests upon arrival. He possesses a wonderful sense of humor and patience.

Little did Dorsey know that the service of offering hors d'oeuvres to guests in her childhood at Sleepy Hollow was the first hat of many she would wear in the hospitality business.
In the Fall of 1986 she was asked to help work and manage the daily running of the bed & breakfast. Over the years she has met many fun and interesting people and families and managed many a crisis.
Though still dedicated to her mother's business her interests have been allowed to shift to her original passion, animals and the medical field. Recently certified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist, she is also studying all areas of holistics.
Dorsey and Don's three children assist in many ways in the business.

Earlene provides wonderful breakfasts, yummy cakes and cookies for all of our guests. She grew up on the farm next door. and became part of the team in 2006

Bev's beloved dog . The newest canine to the family. Jack was offered to Bev by a former guest. He has settled in perfectly and amuses himself with the abundance of chipmunks and squirrels on the property as well frequent romps/swims in the pond. He loves when guests bring their own dogs while staying in the cottage. Jack wears a hat of hospitality quite naturally as well.

In November 1950 Sleepy Hollow acquired its name by owner Beverley, then a young bride. She and her husband raised 5 children and were gentlemen farmers. Fond memories of those early years are reflected in the walls of the hollow. Family is still very much a part of the hospitality and operation of the bed & breakfast.
